Studies

So I'm working on some new things and trying to figure out what direction I want to go for my senior portfolio, trying to get a sound group of work that I enjoy them boing together and working separately.
I'm extremely excited to see what my last year of school has to offer, bring it on!

UPDATE

So here are a few things I've been working on, and some stuff I finished recently. I've been dabbling around with type a bit more and I am really having some fun with it.

A poster done in illustrator. I was given four different choices of copy and I went with ultra fast 4G LTE, I'm very please with how this turned out and I am looking forward to creating more stuff like this in the future.

Created the seven deadly sins as animals, and which one I feel represents the respected sin the best. Was also given the task of using a different technique for each one, it was a really fun project and I learned a lot about illustrator.

Update

So it's been a minute, I've had quite a few big things going on recently, here are some things i've been working on, mostly vector pieces created in Illustrator.
This was done for my illustrator class we were given a chair to create as closely as possible in illustrator using blends and gradients. I am pleased with how it came out the newspaper was pretty fun to do.

This was created for reeboks summer internship application, I had drawn it out in pencil and ink then took it into illustrator live traced it and fixed up some of the lines.

We were given an assignment to recreate our High-school logo, it think mine turned out really well, it's the iconic minute man hat from the civil war
I created this for Library Street Collectives Small Works Project, I'm really excited because it was in a show with some pretty big local and national artists like Don Kilpatrick III, Stephanie Henderson, Erik Olson, David Kinsley, Matt Eaton, and James Jean. It went to Italy, unfortunately I couldn't go with it.

These are for my Illustrator class in which we have to do the seven deadly sins throughout the semester I love how they're turning out and I'm really excited to finish these up.

Dungeon Master

This one took a couple days, about a day for the line work, and a day for color shadow and that jazz. Was a challenge over at conceptart.org trying to build the courage to post on their website, it's intimidating.

Hot Hot Heat

Have a pretty nice amount of things to post been drawing as much as I can over summer, have some sketches and a piece that I started and finished today, I'm planning on posting more often (said that before) but this time I will try my best and will be doing more work. first up are some sketches that i've been working on in the past month and some over my vacation.

"Ink, paper"
Was looking up images of a wolf on my phone and found this guy, sparked interest so I drew him, took about 40 minutes.

"Ink, paper"
When swimming on vacation we found a frog in the pool so we helped him out of the pool and named him pickles, then I remembered one of my friends worked at a golf course and how occasionally they would hit frogs with the weed whipper on accident because they were hidden in the weeds.
"Graphite, paper"
Just a doodle of an assassin.

"Graphite, pen, marker, paper"
Just started scribbling while at Pizza hut and it eventually turned into this.

"Graphite, paper"
The sisters, two images from a model website.

"Ink, digital"
This came up when i was looking at greek mythology and demons (I was up really late). I stumbled onto a demon called murmur who's symbol was a vulture, so I figured I would do a little illustration on it.

Traditional paintings

Finishing out the year here at CCS and i've got some stuff to post. these are traditional pieces from different classes. I'll be posting some more of my digital work from Intro to Image making I.

"Flattery is alright so long as you don't inhale"
Graphite on paper

One of my favorite pieces of the year that I had created. We had to break a selected quote down and conceptualize on the quote for a little under two weeks, then go onto ideations and the finish.

"Someone you love but don't trust"
Oil with acrylic under painting

I enjoy the idea behind this painting a lot, few things that I wouldn't mind changing but I learned a great deal about oil paint from this piece.

"Rocker"
Oil Life painting

Probably my strongest oil piece from this year, it was a life painting in Nancy Mitters Advanced Figure class. It was an excellent class learning a lot about color, and color theory.

"Ang"
Oil

I had taken a lot on what I learned from Nancy's class and Erik Olson's Illustration Tech II class. Painting a lot of thick layers and playing with a palette knife on the scarf. Painting of my friend Angelina Roncelli giving it to her for her birthday.
